Adoptable Hank at Tallahassee Animal Services

What is Giving Tuesday?

Giving Tuesday is the day that millions of people come together to support the causes they believe in and in the communities in which they live. This year Giving Tuesday falls on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025 and we hope you will make the Animal Shelter Foundation part of your giving plans. We, and our communities’ pets, are very appreciative of any donation you are able to give.

Any donation you give will be matched dollar for dollar by our generous 2025 Matching Donors – up to $40,500.

2025 Matching Donors

Our Giving Tuesday Community Drive begins on November 18th and ends on Tuesday, December 2nd. Please spread the word to everyone you know. Be a part of ASF Giving Tuesday to provide shelter animals with a chance to be adopted into a forever, loving home.

In FY2025, more than 6,200 animals in our community were directly helped by ASF with spay and neuter surgeries, specialized veterinary surgeries/care, heart worm help and low-cost doggie manners classes. Hundreds more were helped by providing puppy and kitten formula, supplies, medicine, shelter enrichment programs and more.

How Your Support Will Help

Your Giving Tuesday gifts will directly benefit shelter animals and those in need in our community through ASF programs:

  • Tally Spay, our low-cost spay/neuter clinic serving the Tallahassee area, has performed over 14,000 high-volume, high-quality sterilization surgeries to help reduce the number of intakes at the shelter.
  • Special Veterinary Care needs
  • Heartworm Help
  • Low Cost Doggie Manners Classes
  • HOPES (Helping Owned Pets Evade Sheltering)
  • Foster Care Support
  • Special Projects such as enrichment programs and supplies, beds for shelter dogs, harnesses, leashes, individual scratching pads for shelter cats and dog playgroup support.
  • To ease the burden of a full shelter, special initiatives continue: Foster Sleepover Program giving long-term residents a break from shelter life, funding part-time Canine Companion Specialists who provide out of kennel enrichment to the adoptable dogs, and a Long Distance Transport Program to Northern shelter partners.
Long Distance Transport Program success!
